Finding Alignment: When You Stop Fighting Who You Are
Oct 07, 2025
There’s a peace that comes when you stop fighting who you are.
I used to chase opportunities, titles, and recognition like they were oxygen...the next big win...the next big check...the next pat on the back.
But the truth is that none of it brought peace...I was always busy, always building, but never really aligned...
Alignment isn’t about perfection...it’s about direction...it’s the moment when your head, heart, and hands finally move the same way...
You wake up early not because you “have to,” but because it feels right...you go to the gym, not to prove something, but to stay strong for the people who count on you...you sit by your pond with coffee in hand, and for a moment, everything just feels still...like God is nodding, saying, “See? You’re right where you’re supposed to be.”
For me, alignment looks like this:
Mornings at the gym or by the pond with Chantale...
Watching Bubs play ball, the girls dance, and feeling proud...not because of what they’re doing, but because of who they’re becoming...
Working on projects that bring meaning, not chaos...
Trusting that God’s timing is perfect, even when I can’t see the full picture...
Here’s what I’ve learned:
When you’re out of alignment, life feels heavy...you force things...you grind harder but get less done...you chase validation instead of purpose...
But when you’re aligned, everything slows down...you stop striving and start flowing...yhe right people show up...opportunities open...the noise fades...
That’s when you realize that alignment isn’t something you find...it’s something you return to.
Maybe that’s where you are right now...searching for peace in the middle of pressure...
Don’t give up on finding your alignment...it’s not out there...it’s in you.
