Coffee with Chris … Strong Roots

A few years back…I was offered a strong job...great salary...status...a role most people would have jumped at without looking back.

But there was a catch…weekly travel...and lots of it...

At that point my kids were growing fast...and I could feel this stillness in my chest telling me…this is not it.

So I said no.

People thought I was crazy...turned down money...turned down status...turned down the promise of equity...

But for me, it was a no-brainer...if the roots are shallow…the tree falls.

For me… my family is the roots...my faith is the roots...my peace is the roots.

Money…opportunity…status…all important..

But if I lost my connection to my family, I would have lost myself...

That choice taught me something…you do not build legacy by chasing the loudest offer...you build legacy by protecting what matters most...

Sometimes the strongest move…is staying planted.
