☕ Coffee With Chris … The Pain of Someday
There’s a scene in UP that destroys me every time.
Carl and Ellie… dreaming about their big adventure…waiting for the right moment…saving… planning… imagining…
And then she never got to go.
Man…it hits like a truck.
It’s not a story about lifting a house with balloons or a stray kid or talking dogs...it’s a warning about waiting.
I don’t cry because she dies.
I cry because of everything she didn’t live.
That’s the ache.
And it's not a fear of aging…it's the fear of time slipping by while dreams sit quietly on a shelf.
Someday is dangerous.
Life doesn’t wait for perfect timing...it rewards movement…courage…and men who are willing to take the next step even when they’re unsure.
Here’s what I’m learning fellas…
We’re not afraid of getting old...we're afraid of getting to the end…and realizing we played it safe.
I don’t want that.
I want to build…explore…write…love deeply…and die empty.
The ache is my reminder that there’s still more in me...more to do...more to give...more to live.
And it reminds me I’m not done.
Neither are you.
Let's go...it’s time to move.
